Alpic supports the MCP Tasks specification (introduced in protocol version 2025-11-25), enabling your MCP servers to execute long-running operations.
When your MCP server declares task support for a tool, Alpic automatically provisions the infrastructure needed to run it asynchronously. Clients can poll for status and retrieve results when the task completes.
Limits
Tasks have a 6-hour maximum duration. Tasks running longer than 6 hours will be terminated.
| Limit | Value |
|---|
| Maximum task duration | 6 hours |
| Maximum task TTL (result retention) | 6 hours |
The TTL (time-to-live) determines how long task results are retained after completion. After the TTL expires, the task and its results may be deleted.

requirements.
